Treasure Hunt - Halloween 2007
For Halloween this year Earthsongers organised a treasure hunt for the wee ones. As you can see from the pictures, we all had great fun and the kids were transported with excitement.

We started with torn pieces of an "ancient parchment" treasure map.

The map had the first clue.

There were 24 rhyming clues hidden all around the property, leading to the spot where the booty was buried ...

... - and I mean REALLY buried.

It took all 10 children working with spades and dirty hands and fingers ...

... to pry it out of the ground.

Once it was found, there were more impediments - it was locked!

The clue said all the clues had to be pieced together ...

... to find the code that would open the locks.

All the children agreed to share the booty, ...

... and the treasure trunk and its contents will find their permanent home in the children's playroom in the common house.

Wow! What booty they found thar, arrgghh, arrgghh!

There were daggers and halos and edible gold doubloons: ...

... something for everyone!

Let no one mess with this fearsome crew!!!
